“May the strongest immune system win”
I’m sure some of you have heard this phrase before through this pandemic period. When I first heard someone say this I started thinking to myself how many people actually know that you can actively build a strong immune system.
Even before I understood how to build a strong immune system. I was thankfully blessed with a strong immune system.
It wasn’t until my university days that I started paying attention to it. That’s when I went in hard with the aim to rejuvenate my body and mind.
First things first – What is the immune system?
Without complicating things. Look at your immune system as your personal army of soldiers designed to protect your body.
In the event someone enters your fortress (body). They immediately kill the bacteria, virus, or parisite.
Typically your immune system gets stronger the more that you age. Simply because the more that you’re exposed, the stronger your immunity gets.
How to Build a Strong Immune System
Your immune system is mostly built on your lifestyle, rest assured you can definitely work on it. Here are just a few ways you can do so:
Consume food that will boost your immune system:
- Red Bell Pepper
- Strawberries and Blue Berries
- Turmeric (This is the best stuff on the market)
Your Sleep, sleep is one of the biggest things for having a strong immune system. Because when you sleep your body is able to repair itself. Personally, I aim for 6-8 hours of sleep per night. Another important aspect of sleeping is the quality of your sleep.
Managing Your Stress – Stress is a contributing factor to a weak immune system. We can’t eliminate stress completely no matter how hard you try. But we can definitely manage it on a daily basis.
Here’s a list of ways to manage your stress:
- Workout daily even if it’s just 30-minutes of cardio.
- Read books that will empower you.
- Surround yourself with positive people.
As you get your diet, sleep, and stress in order. You’ll feel better and your body will start feeling rejuvenated. Now you know how to build a strong immune system – go forth and be mindful of your lifestyle with the aim of building a strong immune system.
